Domestic Travel
This in theory should have nothing to do with INS or ICE.
So far, flying does not appear to be a problem, at least, according to what I have heard.
Some attorneys recently have been discussing that travel on Greyhound buses, or on AMTRACK trains could pose a risk. In the past INS/ICE agents have boarded Amtrak trains or Greyhound buses and demanded to see green cards from people they perceive to be noncitizens.
This practice appears unconstitutional to me, but there may be some argument for it near the borders, where there is an exception to the warrant requirement.
One is supposed to carry ones green card with one all the time.

New Canadian Decision - there is a new Canadian Decision favorable to asylum seekers. However, the lawyers have until Jan. 14, 2008 to appeal, so no one should try to go to the Canadian border to apply yet, at least not without advice of a Canadian lawyer.

Unfortunately, Naturalization applications will be slow due to the upsurge in filings before the fee increase.
